Description of key information

BCF <100 (flow-through fish study with Cyprinus carpio according to Japanese national standards)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study is available on the bioaccumulation potential of 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluorooctyl 2-chloropropenoic acid ester (CAS 96383-55-0) in fish. The study was conducted under GLP conditions according to Japanese test method of new chemical substances (Kobayashi, 2011). This study was carried out as flow-through study, with carp (Cyprinus carpio) as test organism. After 28 days exposure to 0.001 and 0.0001 mg/L test substance, the measured BCF values range between <6 - <8 for the low concentration and >59 - <91 for the high concentration. Hence, bioaccumulation of the substance is not expected.
