The calibration factor is determined by measuring the Surface Tension of water and comparing the value obtained in literature. The corrected value is taken from a table compiled on the basis of the Harkins-Jordan correction.

The final surface tention value is the mean value of two surface tension readings, which are 52.0 mN/m and 54.5 mN/m.

The surface tension is 52.8 mN/m at 20°C and at a concentration of 1 g/L.
