Description of key information

Adsorption/desorption: Low potential for adsorption.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There is low potential for adsorption based on low log Kow values (<3), thus the requirement for testing is waived.

For environmental exposure assessment, adsorption is predicted for propylsilanetriol using the‘non-hydrophobics’ log Kow-based prediction method for log Koc (Sabljic et al., 1995).

The relevant equation is:

Log Koc = 0.52 log Kow + 1.02

Therefore, log Koc for propylsilanetriol = 0.3.
