Conclusion on classification

The results from the aquatic toxicity studies are as follows:

LC50 (96 h) fish = 16 mg/L.

EC50 (48 h) Daphnia = 14.7 mg/L.

ErC50 (72 h) algae = 6.9 mg/L.

EC50 microorganisms was determined to be greater than 1000 mg/L.

Based on the results from the aquatic toxicity (lowest value 6.9 mg/L) and since the substance is inherently biodegradable and has a BCF < 500, the substance is classified as follows:

- according to Directive 67/548/EEC the substance is classified as R51/53.

- according to the CLP Regulation 1272/2008 the substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic 2 (Hazard statement: H411)

Based on the lowest L(E)C50 value (6.9 mg/L), the substance does not match the criteria for classification for acute aquatic hazard.
