Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In a statement it was concluded that the substance has no oxidizing properties. The statement was based on the molecular structure of the substance.
In accordance with UN RTDG/MTC/Appendix 6/Screening procedures/Section 6.1 for substances which may have oxidizing properties, the classification procedure for oxidizing substances in Division 5.1 does not need to be applied.

Description of key information

The substance has no oxidizing properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Expert judgement based on the molecular structure of the substance in accordance with EC A.17 and UN. There are no chemical groups associated with oxidising properties present in the molecule of the substance.

Justification for classification or non-classification

FDCA does not need to be classified for oxidising properties according to the CLP Regulation.
