Description of key information

Dodecene, hydroformylation products, high boiling is biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on the biodegradation result of a CO2 evolution test (50 - 60% after 28 d, non-adapted domestic sludge, OECD 301 B), the mixture is classified as not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria) [BASF SE 2008]. However, the result of an "enhanced" CO2 evolution test (70 - 80% after 60 days, non-adapted domestic sludge; OECD 301B) indicates the mixture as biodegradable [BASF SE 2010].
