Description of key information
The octanol/water partition coefficient of Tricyclodecane dimethanol, esters with acrylic acid was investigated with an experimental study performed in accordance with OECD testing 117 guideline and GLP requirements.
The test item is a complex UVCB. The measured Log Pow values ranged from 4.54 to 4.64. 100% of the known constituents of this UVCB have Log Pow values in this range.
The chromatogram obtained by HPLC showed 3 peaks with representing each between 32.0% and 35.1% of the total area under the curve and together 100% of all the UVCB. As a conservative approach, the highest log value (4.64) in this range was selected for chemical safety assessment (CSA).
