Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Thermal Stability:

The DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible showed an exothermal decompositon in the temperature range of 230 - 365 °C with an energy of 985 J/g.

Vapour presseure (dynamic method):

The vapour pressure was measured with the dynamic method in the temperature range of 66 °C to 168 °C. The measured vapour pressure at the corresponding temperatures are listed in the following table:

Temperature / °C Vapour pressure / hPa
72.515.1
95.2550.6
111.58 100.8
128.94 200.1
157.42500.6
167.75684.6
162.89599.9
140.25300.1
121.51150.5
84.6229.5
66.3  9.6

The values for 20, 25 and 50 °C are calculated, using the Antoine constants A, B and C as shown:

Parameters of the Antoine equation (log (p/hPa) = A+B/(C+T[°C])

A= 6.232749

B = -985.60

C= 121.99

The resuslts for the vapour pressures are:

T / °Cp/hPap/Pa
200.20.20
250.340.34
503.18318
Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be 0.2 hPa at 20 °C according to EU A.4
