Additional information

No information about the toxicity of KDDC (CAS No. 128-03-0) to terrestrial arthropods was available. Therefore, a conclusion about this endpoint had to be drawn based on toxicity data from an analogue substance. The acute toxicity of Ziram (CAS No. 137-30-4) to honey bees was investigated in two studies by Cole (1990). These studies were conducted according to EPA OPP Guideline 141-1 (Honey Bee Acute Contact Toxicity) and Working Document 7/3 of the United Kingdom Control of Pesticides Regulations (1986), under GLP conditions. After 48 hours, no significant effects on survival were reported in honey bees exposed via oral or contact route to the test material. Therefore, the resulting LD50 for both tests was greater than 100 µg/animal .
