Additional information

There is no information concerning terrestrial toxicity of Butyldiglycol methacrylate available. However, the substance shows a low adsorptive as well as a low bioaccumulative potential

log Pow = 3.1 (measured). According to test guideline OECD 301 B Butyldiglycol methacrylate was assessed to be readily biodegradable in sewage sludge and the substance met the 10 -day window (CIT, 2000).

Results from a Mackay level III distribution modelling indicate that if Butyldiglycol methacrylate is released to air, it mainly distributes to soil (77.9%). A small amount remains in the air (11.2%) or partitions to water (10.8%). If the substance is released into water, it mainly remains in water (99.7%) (see chapter 5.4.3 Distribution modelling)
