Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Specific hazards during firefighting: Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses. In case of fire, hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as carbon oxides.

Advice for firefighters:

Special protective equipment for firefighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
