Description of key information

In a flammability test, the substance did not burn or burn up. Furthermore, it does not emit flammable gases in contact with water. Experience in production or handling shows that the substance does not ignite spontaneously on coming into contact with air at normal temperatures (i.e. the substance is known to be stable at room  temperature for prolonged periods of time). 
The structural formula of the test item contains none of the functional groups quoted in Manual of Tests and Criteria, appendix 6, article 5.3)
The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The substance did not burn down or burn up.
