Description of key information
- The substance has a flashpoint of 110°C indicating non-flammability.
- The flammability of Violiff in contact with water has been tested according to EU Method A.12, in compliance with GLP. No gas development occurred when Violiff came into contact with water. Therefore the substance is not considered to be flammable in contact with water.
- The flammability of Violiff in contact with air has been tested according to EU Method A.14 in compliance with GLP. Violiff did not ignite spontaneously when coming into contact with air. Therefore the substance is not considered to be flammable in contact air.
- The substance is not considered to be a self-heating substance as the substance is a liquid and the surface of liquids is not large enough for reaction with air.

Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on all available data, the substance does not need to be classified as flammable, pyrophoric, self-heating, and emitting flammable gases when in contact with water according to the EU CLP (EC No. 1272/2008 and its amendments).
