Description of key information

Additional information

Methyllithium (ca. 8 %) in Diethoxymethan:

Thermal stability: In the analysed temperature range of the DSC the shows an exothermic decomposition reaction which starts at 130 °C. The energy release is -620 J/g.

Adiabatic storage test: The energy release calculated from the adiabatic storage test is -590 J/g. This value is in good agreement to the value found in the DSC.

The SADT is 75 °C for a 50 kg container and 75 °C f or a 450 L container.

Deflagration: The product has no danger of deflagration up to a temperature of 25 °C at ambient pressure.

Explosive properties (thermal sensitivity): According to the UN Manual of test and criteria 2008 (Method E.1) the product has no explosive properties concerning thermal sensitivity.
