Description of key information

Tests with structural analogues are available. In the test with diisopropylbenzene hydroperoxide no mortality was observed up to 0.87 mg/L (Hüls 1993). At higher concentrations ca. 100% of the fish died. The LC50 was calculated to be 1.7 mg/L (measured concentrations were 76.4-112% of nominal).

Additional information

The test in zebrafish with diisopropylbenzene hydroperoxide is considered most appropriate for read-across as in this test the concentrations are analysed. The rationale for the read-across is documented in chapter 13.
