Additional information

No toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

- The test substance exhibits a very low water solubility (< 0.1 mg/L at 20°C). Therefore, bioavailability to aquatic organisms is strongly limited.

- All available acute tests for the test substance markedly show that toxic effects only occur far beyond the limit of water solubility.

  • Danio rerio LC50(96h) > 100 mg/L (nominal concentration)
  • Daphnia magna EC50(48h) > 100 mg/L (WAF, nominal concentration)
  • Scenedesmus subspicatus ErC50 (72h) > 10 mg/L (WAF, nominal concentration)

- long-term exposure to Daphnia magna (21 -day reproduction test) revealed a NOEC of > 0.09 µg/L (mean measured).

- long-term exposure to Danio rerio (36 day ELS test) revealed a NOEC of >= 0.220 µg/L (mean measured)

- Activated sludge was not inhibited by the test substance: IC50 > 100 mg/L.
