Conclusion on classification

Three acute aquatic toxicity studies conducted on fish, Daphnia and algae gave EC50 values of greater than 100% v/v saturated solution. The No Observed Effect Concentration was 100% v/v saturated solution. All three studies showed that there were no toxic effects at saturation.

Studies to assess Partition coefficient and ready biodegradability were not possible as the test material is inorganic. As such, based on the results of the Aquatic toxicity data only, the test material is considered to be not classified as hazardous to the environment according to current classification and labelling guidelines.
