Additional information

o-TSA is hydrolytically stable in water at pH 4, 7 and 9 at 50 °C.

From a ready biodegradability test in which no biodegradation was found, it can be concluded that o-TSA is not readily biodegradable.

No adsorption to soil or sediment is expected as o-TSA has a low log Kow and a high water solubility, therefore degradation in soil and sediment are waived as well as the adsorption/desorption study.

In a study on bioaccumulation with Cyprinus carpio at 0.3 and 3 mg/L BCF values of < 2.6 and 04.-0.9, respectively were found. This shows that o-TSA does not have a potential to bioaccumulate.
