Description of key information

Kow method (calculation)

Koc: 4.21 l/kg

logKoc: 0.6

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
4.21

Additional information

Koc of test item neutral form was calculated using EpiSuite 4.1., the suite of physical/chemical property and environmental fate estimation programs developed by the EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention Toxics and Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC).

Target substance is expected to be a substance with a low potential for adsorption, as confirmed by the partition coefficient log Kow of -3.2 (R&C, 2012).

Based on REACH regulation annex VIII column 2 (specific rules for adaptation from column 1) the study need not be conducted based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient).
