There is no data available on the toxicity of amantadine hydrochloride on aquatic invertebrates. The assessment of toxicity to aquatic invertebrates is based on data obtained for the similar substance amantadine, in a static test performed according to the EPA OTS 797.1300 guideline, using the the water flea (Daphnia magna) as test organism. An EC50 value of 24.4 mg/L was derived for 48 hours exposure (Pedersen et al., 2000).
