Short-term toxicity to Daphnia: EC50 - 32.3 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
32.3 mg/L

Additional information

Acute immobilisation in Daphnia has been investigated in screening tests of 48 hours duration and conducted based on OECD test methods. The EC50 (48h) was determined to be in the region of 100 mg/L. A definitive test conducted in compliance with OECD test methods resulted in an EC50 (48h) of 32.3 mg/L (nominal concentration), a LOEC of 25.0 mg/L (nominal concentration ) and a NOEC of 12.5 mg/L (nominal concentration).

(Q)SAR estimation indicates an EC50 in excess of 100 mg/L.
