Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

NOEC(30d) > 86.7 mg/L (RA Zeolite cuboidal)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No data for long-term toxicity to fish are available for the target substance Aluminium silicate and titanium oxide matrix doted with vanadium, nickel, and antimony. Therefore, data from the analogue approach source substance Zeolite, cuboidal, crystalline, synthetic, non-fibrous catalysts were applied to cover the endpoint long-term toxicity to fish for the target substance.

The chronic toxicity study on fish with Zeolite, cuboidal, crystalline, synthetic, non-fibrous, is conducted according to bioassay procedures for egg and fry stages of freshwater fish recommended by US-EPA (Maki and Macek 1978, RL2). Up to the highest tested concentration of 87 mg/L, there were no adverse effects on hatchability of eggs and survival, on mean total length and average weight of fry after 30-day exposure of eggs and fry of fathead minnows (Pimephales promelas) observed. Therefore, a NOEC(30d) greater than 87 mg/L was stated..

Additional data for long-term toxicity to fish with further analogue approach source substances are not available.

The respective references for the source substance data can be found in the data matrix of the justification for the analogue approach, which can be found either in the CSR or as attachment in Iuclid section 13.
