Description of key information

The flash point of decahydronaphthalene (cis:trans approx. 60:40) was determined according to EU test method A.9 (2008) with the Pensky-Martens method (closed cup). The result was 57 °C at 1013 hPa.
Results for the pure isomers range from 57 to 62 °C (cis isomer) and from 53 to 56 °C (trans isomer) at atmospheric pressure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
57 °C
