Description of key information

Data have been obtained from secondary source (EPA databank), including several pubblication.

LC50 for soil macroorganisms as worms of 0.6 (0.5-0.7) ug/cm2 based on mortality endpoint is available on two studies.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The available studies on earthworm Eisenia fetida defines both a mortality endpoint LC50 of 0.6 (0 .5 -0.7) µg/cm2. This value was not measured by chemical analisys. Adult organisms of 300-500 mg were exposed for a duration of 48 hours for 1 dose at day of 2,4-Dinitrophenol in Trichloromethane,2-Propanone, water carrier through. The study was performed using a filter paper media with a dermal exposure in the first study and by direct application in the second study. 10 replicates for concentrations (1 organism per concentration) were tested.
