Description of key information

Based on structure on each constituent, the reaction mass is considered as not oxidizing.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

No data is available on the reaction mass of chlorodifluoroacetic acid and trifluoroacetic acid.

Based on the structure of each constituent, studies on oxidizing properties are waived according to column 2 of REACH Annex VII, section 7.13.

As no alert structure is observed, the reaction is considered not to have oxidizing properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As no structure alert is observed on each constituent of the reaction mass, the reaction mass of CDFA/TFA is considered as not oxidizing and is not classified according to the CLP 1272/2008 and the directive 67/548/EC criteria.
