Any other information on results incl. tables

The surface tension of Reactive Red F08-0146 aqueous solution read on the instrument was 71.9 mN/m at 20°C, using the OECD harmonised ring method representing the mean of five separate measurements. The equilibrium time for these five measurements was minimum 124 sec. The details are shown in the table below:

Equilibrium time = time after transferring the solution to the vessel until measuring the surface tension of the solution

The measured surface tension was multiplied by the correction factor and then corrected according to Harkins and Jordan, resulting in a corrected surface tension of 72.1 mN/m.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The surface tension of Reactive Red F08-0146 aqueous solution (1 mg/ml) was found to be 72.1 mN/m at 20 ±1°C, using the OECD harmonised ring method. As this value is higher than 60 mN/m, Reactive Red F08-0146 is not classified as surface-active material.
Executive summary:

This study has been performed in accordance with the study plan, Directive of the European Communities: Methods for the Determination of Physico-Chemical Properties (A5), Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD Guideline No. 115), the Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and reported with a valid GLP certificate.
