Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

Experimental data on sensitisation of the test substance is available only as secondary source (Koerdel et al. 1981, cited in: Commission of the European Communities DG XI, 1993): The Buehler Test was conducted to examine the skin sensitising potential of the test substance in the guinea pig. No further details were given. Nevertheless, according to the International Programme on Chemical Safety (IPCS), the test was conducted similar to the OECD guideline 406. In this test, the substance was found to be not sensitising to the skin of guinea pigs.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
The skin sensitizing potential of the test substance was examined in the guinea pig by using the Buehler Test (Koerdel et al. 1981, cited in: The Commission of the European Communities DG XI, 1993). The test substance was not sensitising in this test system. No structural alert for protein binding was identified for the parent substance by the protein binding prediction module of the OECD toolbox.

Respiratory sensitisation

Justification for classification or non-classification

Dangerous Substance Directive (67/548/EEC)

Based on the available data of the test substance, no hazard for skin sensitization can be derived. However, reporting details are inadequate for classification under Directive 67/548/EEC.

Classification, Labeling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008

Based on the available data of the test substance, no hazard for skin sensitization can be derived. However, reporting details are inadequate for classification under Directive 1272/2008.
