Description of key information

Data waiving: Under COLUMN 2 “SPECIFIC RULES FOR ADAPTATION FROM COLUMN 1” in the REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 18 December 2006, it states The study does not need to be conducted if: “the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example on the basis of the chemical structure” accordingly “The structure of the test material was assessed for chemical groups that would imply oxidising properties. Examples of such groups are nitrates, metal oxides, hypofluorites, difluoroaminopolynitroaryls, perchlorates, bromates and iodites.”
The oxidising properties of Farnesene have been predicted negative based on the chemical structure of the test item, using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A21 Oxidising Properties (Liquids) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.
