Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Freezing temperature was measured by DSC Q 1000 to be below -90 Celsius degrees (EU A.1 method).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-90 °C

Additional information

Key value was determined by using the EU A.1 method. No crystallization or melting, i.e. heat changes were observed above -90°C for the sample. The DSC curve for water (determined as a reference) shows a clear change in heat at 0°C, which is the freezing/melting temperature for water. The conclusion is drawn that the freezing/melting point for this substance is below -90°C. Freezing temperature was measured by Differential Scanning Calorimeter DSC Q 1000 to be below -90 Celsius degrees.
