Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the adsorption/desorption screening study is considered to be scientifically unjustified as, based on the low water solubility of the substance (3 mg/l at 25°C) the substance can be expected to have a high adsorption potential. This is consistent with the results of predicted aquatic toxicity using QSAR, which indicates that the substance is not soluble enough to enter the aquatic environment. In addition, the HPLC method for determining adsorption/desorption is considered to be technically not feasible as the substance is a hydrocarbon UVCB with a low water solubility. Standard tests for this endpoint are intended for single substances and are not appropriate for this complex substance.
