Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Eight acute invertebrate studies are available for members of this category. Six of the tests are conducted with Daphnia magna, and the remaining two with Mysidopsis bahia. There does not appear to be any difference in sensitivity between these two test species. Due to the very low solubility of the test substances all the tests were conducted using Water Accommodated Fractions (WAF). All eight studies report unbounded EL50s, i.e. that the 50% effect level was above the highest concentration tested. The six OECD style tests used higher test concentrations than the two USEPA style tests. Based on the OECD style tests we can conclude that the EL50 is >1000mg/L WAF.
