Examination of the structure of Butanedioic Acid, 2(or 3)-Sulfo-, 4-[2-[(1-Oxododecyl) amino] ethyl] ester, Disodium Salt indicates that there are no molecular groups associated with explosive properties. Therefore, negative results can be predicted and no test for explosive properties was needed.

Interpretation of results:
non explosive

Conclusions:
non explosive
Executive summary:

In the Klimisch 1 key expert statement from Bütfering (2012) the explosive properties of the test item Butanedioic Acid, 2(or 3)-Sulfo-, 4-[2-[(1-Oxododecyl) amino] ethyl] ester, Disodium Salt were assessed based on the molecular groups in the test item.

Additional information

In the Klimisch 1 key expert statement from Bütfering (2012) the explosive properties of the test item Butanedioic Acid, 2(or 3)-Sulfo-, 4-[2-[(1-Oxododecyl) amino] ethyl] ester, Disodium Salt were assessed based on the molecular groups in the test item.

In a supporting experimental study which was performed with dust, no explosion was observed when heating the dust air mixture.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the lack of molecular groups associated with explosive properties the it was concluded that the test material has no explosive properties. Hence classification is not needed.
