Additional information

The toxicity of DL-alpha-methylbenzylamine was studied in a growth inhibition test according to OECD 201 under GLP with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata as test species (BASF SE, 2012; project no.60E0728/11X317). The test concentrations were analytically verified and proved to be stable over the exposure period. The 72 -h ErC50 was determined to be 31.7 mg/L (95% CL: 28.9 to 34.8 mg/L). The 72 -h ErC10 was determined to be 9.2 mg/L (95% CL: 7.3 to 10.9 mg/L). It can be concluded that the substance is acutely harmful to aquatic algae.
