Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Half life in soil < 3d at 25 +/- 1 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in soil:
3 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A test conducted with 'diallyl 2,2'oxydiethyl dicarbonate' (CAS 142-22-3) is used to fulfill this endpoint (Williams, 1993).The test substance was biologically degraded, chemically degraded, or volatilized in soil at 25 +/- 1 °C to a level which was below the analytical detection limit (10 ppm) within 3 days [half life in soil < 3d]. Additionally, no degradates were observed in the soil extracts. Due to the disappearance of the test substance in both the sterile and nonsterile (test) system, it was not possible to characterize the extent of biodegradation. For justification of this read-across approach, please refer to the general discussion of environmental fate and pathways.
