The test on ready biodegradability of SymWhite 377 in water (Simon_2006) performed according to OECD 301D and GLP was rated with RL=1 (reliable without restrictions) and used as a key study. The results of this screening test indicted that SymWhite 377 is not readily biodegradable. The degradation rate of SymWhite 377 is 0.8 % (O2 consumption as percentage of the ThOD) in 28 days with 2 mg/L test substance (OECD TG 301D). No inhibitory effects of the test item were observed (more than 25 % degradation occurred within 14 days) in the toxicity control.
