For 24 pesticides and 17 Australian soils (organic matter contents 0.19 -6.62%) the following relation was found: logKom = 0.52 logKow + 0.69. Using this equation Kd was calculated to 0.59 for veratrole (logKow = 2).

For the same 24 pesticides and the actual soil (organic matter content 1.09%) the following relation was found: LogKom = 0.59 logKow + 0.62. Using this equation Kd was calculated to 0.69 for veratrole (logKow = 2).
