Additional information

Three short-term toxicity studies with freshwater fish are available for zinc bis(dibutyldithiocarbamate). A non-GLP, OECD 203 guideline study with the guppy Poecilia reticulata is available (Akzo Nobel Research Laboratories, 1991). The test is semi-static without analytical monitoring. The 96-h LC50 value is >16 mg/L.

Another study is available with the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss tested as Salmo gairdneri)( Analytical Bio-Chemistry Laboratories, Inc., 1983a). The study is a static GLP-compliant, EPA-660/3-75-009 guideline study without analytical monitoring. The 96-h LC50 value is 520 mg/L.

A third study is available with the bluegill sunfish (Lepomis macrochirus)( Analytical Bio-Chemistry Laboratories, Inc., 1983b). The study is a static GLP-compliant, EPA-660/3-75-009 guideline study without analytical monitoring. The 96-h LC50 value is 880 mg/L.

The study with Poecilia reticulata is the most critical study and will therefore be used in the assessment.
