Description of key information

Based on level III fugacity model the half life period of 3-diethylaminophenol was estimated. Half life period of 3-diethylaminophenol in soil was observed to be 75 days (1800 hrs ). Based  on these half life values  it is concluded that  3-diethylaminophenol is readily biodegradable (not persistent) in soil since the half life  period of  3-diethylaminophenol does not exceeds the criteria of 120 days (to qualify the chemical as persistent).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in soil:
75 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C
