Additional information

The toxicity of the test substance to Desmodesmus subspicatus was investigated in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 201. In this test, a water accommodated fraction with a loading rate of 100 mg/L was prepared in consideration of the low water solubility of the test item. Due to the low water solubility it is likely that the algae were exposed to the maximum dissolvable amount of the test substance. The EC10 and the EC50 (72h, growth rate) were determined to exceed the loading rate of 100 mg/L (BASF SE 60E0217/08X023, 2013). Therefore, the test substance is considered to be "with high probability not harmful to aquatic algae".
