Additional information

One key study according to the OECD Guideline 203, EEC Annex V Part C.1 (84/449/EEC) and with GLP standards is available on the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Groups of ten juvenile fish were exposed to a range of five concentrations of Amber Core (P-#620) dispersed in water: 1.0, 1.8, 3.2, 5.6 and 10 mg/L, plus one control and one solvent control. Observations were made on the numbers of dead fish and the incidence of sub-lethal effects after 3, 6, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours exposure. The 96h-LC50 and the highest concentration with no mortality (NOEC) were determined to be 4.1 mg/L (95% confidence limits: 3.3-5.0 mg/L) and 1.8 mg/L respectively. The results are expressed in terms of measured concentration. Measured concentrations ranged from 80 to 144% of nominal at 0 hours, 92 to 109% of nominal at 24 hours and 100 to 102% of nominal at 96 hours (average 104%).
