Additional information

One key study according to the OECD Guideline 210 with GLP standards is available on freshly hatched larvae of the fathead minnow (Pimephales promelas). Newly laid eggs were exposed to an aqueous solution of the test material over a range of nominal test concentrations of 0.040, 0.13, 0.40, 1.3 and 4.0 mg/L (corresponding to measured concentrations of 0.031, 0.078, 0.22, 0.90 and 2.6 mg/L), for a period of 33 days at a temperature of approximately 25°C under dynamic test conditions. Given the results it was considered that the test material had a prolonged effect on the growth of fathead minnow larvae. The LOEC was considered to be 1.3 mg/L (0.90 mg/L based on the mean measured test concentrations of the centrifuged test media) in terms of fish length and weight. The NOEC was considered to be 0.40 mg/L (0.22 mg/L based on the mean measured test concentrations of the centrifuged test media) in terms of body length, dry weight and other sub-lethal effects.
