Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with Section 1 of Annex XI, the study is scientifically unjustified, as isolated (anhydrous) sodium diethyldithiocarbamate is a solid and its vapour pressure is expected to be negligible. This is also confirmed by available data on structurally related substance sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate, which has a vapour pressure is < 1.7 x 10-4 Pa at 20 C. As sodium diethyldithiocarbamate has a higher molecular weight, its vapour pressure is expected to be even lower. In the manufactured form (as aqueous solution), the vapour pressure is expected to correspond to the vapour pressure of water.
