Additional information

Data on the toxicity of the N3/N4 -amine mix are not available.

According to Annex IX long-term toxicity testing on fish shall be proposed if the result of the Chemical Safety Assessment indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of the test substance and its degradation products. Since the risk assessment results in Risk Characterisation Ratios far below 1 for the freshwater compartment, and for animal-welfare reasons, no long-term toxicity studies in fish are provided.

In addition, the results indicate that the aquatic invertebrate species D. magna is the most sensitive species towards N3/N4 amine mix (EC50: 52.1 mg/L), whereas the toxicity (EC50) towards fish and algae is > 100 mg/L (see IUCLID chapters 6.1.1, 6.1.3, 6.1.5).
