Description of key information

Key study: Based on the read-across approach from experimental results on analogue substance VAC3 (EU method C.7., GLP study), the half-life of EAC3 was determined to be less than 1 hour at pH 4, 7 and 9 and at 25 ºC.
Key study: Based on the read-across approach from experimental results on analogue substance MAC3 (EU method C.7., GLP study), the half-life of EAC3 was determined to be less than 1 hour at pH 4, 7 and 9 and at 25 ºC.

Additional information

Key study: Read-across from experimental results on analogue VAC3:

The hydrolysis as a function of pH study was performed according to EU method C.7. and GLP (reliability 1) with the analogue substance VAC3 (component of reaction mass Wasxo-VMAC2). The rate constant of hydrolysis and half-life were determined at pH 4, 7 and 9 at 25 ºC. The analysed concentration by gas chromatography was below the limit of quantification (0.94 mg/mL) at 0.75 h after starting the dissolution of the test substance. More than 50% of VAC3 hydrolysed at pH 4, 7 and 9 in less than 1 hour at 25 ºC. Based on these results, the read-across was applied and the half-life of EAC3 was determined to be less than 1 hour at pH 4, 7 and 9 and at 25 ºC.

Key study: Read-across from experimental results on analogue MAC3:

The hydrolysis as a function of pH study was performed according to EU method C.7. and GLP (reliability 1) with the analogue substance MAC3 (component of reaction mass Wasxo-VMAC2).
