Description of key information

The fish BCF of the substance is estimated to be 776.5 L/kg (geometric mean of three QSAR results).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
776.5 L/kg ww

Additional information

Three QSAR estimations were performed :

- Regression-based estimate, BCFBAF v3.01

- Arnot-Gobas lower trophic level (including biotransformation), BCFBAF v3.01

- TGD (2003) part. II, eq. (74)

The output of calculations are shown here below:

-Regression-based estimate (BCF-BAF v3.01): BCF = 503.6 L/kg

-Arnot-Gobas lower trophic level (BCF-BAF v3.01): BCF = 573.2 L/kg

-TGD (2003): BCF = 1621.8 L/kg

For the purposes of defining a key value for chemical safety assessment, it is proposed to give an equivalent weight for each BCF estimation and to use the geometric mean to determine a representative BCF value:

-BCFgeom.mean = 776.5 L/kg
