Description of key information

According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule (cf. Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, Section 7.11 Column 2). According to ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance (November 2012), fatty acids, C6-19-branched, zinc salts does not contain functional groups that are directly associated with explosive properties.
Fatty acids, C6-19-branched, zinc salts is therefore considered to be void of any explosive properties. Finally, it is noted that despite the long-term use of fatty acids, C6-19-branched, zinc salts, it is not classified for explosive properties according to UN transport regulations and derogation from testing is hereby applied for.
