Description of key information

No data are available on terrestrial arthropods.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A fugacity model (Mackay level III model) demonstrated that the components will predominantly partition to water or volatilise into air to significant amounts (>90% partition to air and water; only <10% partition to sediment and soil). Therefore, further testing on terrestrial arthropods is not considered to be necessary, since exposure to soil is low and it is not the compartment of concern. Additionaly, Oxooil LS9 did not show any acute toxicity to earthworms (Section 6.3.1) or phytotoxicity to three species (oats, rape and soyabean) of terrestrial plants (Section 6.3.3) at a limit test concentration of 1000 mg/kg soil dw., toxicity to terrestrial arthropods is also not expected.
