Description of key information

The test substance can be considered to be inherently biodegradable. The Adsorption Coefficient was found to be greater than 4.3 x 10E5, log10 Koc >5.63, classifying the test item as immobile.

In a study performed according to the OECD Guideline 302 C (Inherent Biodegradability: Modified MITI Test (II)). The biodegradation of the test substance after 28 days is 21 %.

Performing a hydrolysis was not technically feasible.

As the hydrolysis test is performed at no greater than 50 % of the saturation level, and methodology is required to be able to detect 10 % of the initial concentration, it was considered that achieving an accurate, robust analytical method to detect concentrations in the range of level approximately 1.8 to 0.18 µg/L was not possible.

The Adsorption Coefficient was found to be greater than 4.3 x 10E5, log10 Koc >5.63, using the HPLC screening method, designed to be compatible with Method C.19 Adsorption Coefficient of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 121 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 22 January 2001. The results classify the test item as immobile.
