The n-octanol/water partition coefficient of a complex reaction product was experimentally measured in accordance with OECD testing guideline 117 and GLP requirements. 73.3% of the components of this UVCB have Log Pow ranged from 5.30 to 5.62.

To appraise the n-octanol/water partition coefficient of a complex reaction product (Ethoxylated bisphenol A dimethacrylate), this endpoint was experimentally measured in accordance with OECD testing guideline 117 and GLP requirements. A range of octanol/water partition coefficient log values at pH 6.44 was obtained: 3.43 to 5.62. 73.3% of the components of this UVCB have Log Pow ranged from 5.30 to 5.62.

The chromatogram obtained by HPLC showed eight peaks with the two latest representing each 31.8% and 41.5% of the total area under the curve and together more than 70% of all this UVCB. The log value of n-octanol/water partition coefficient couldn't be higher than 5.62 and the two latest peaks representing the two most abundant components of this complex reaction product (>>10%), this log value was used for chemical safety assessment (CSA). The highest value was considered as a worst-case value, increase of n-octanol/water partition coefficient value leading to a significant increase of Predicted Environmental Concentration in sediments and soil.
