Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Test was made in compliance with Commission Directive 92/69/EEC, Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 EC A10 method (2008) by Demangel (2010).

Two prelim tests are made and one main test. The test item (EKALAND MITC W) after being heated at 60 °C was spread on the plate so as to form a strip. It was left to cool between 10 and 15 minutes before application of the flame. The test item ignited a few seconds, but no propagation of the inflammation was observed.

The test was then stopped and MITC (methyl isothiocyanate) is not considered as highly flammable.
